First Officer - Aviation
Position Summary
The First Officer is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, both on the ground and in flight. This role involves exceeding customer expectations while maintaining clear and effective communication with leadership, team members, and dispatch.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Reports administratively to the Chief Pilot.
- Primarily responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft during ground and in-flight phases.
- Anticipates customer needs and strives to exceed their expectations.
- Adheres to all applicable regulations, including FAA regulations, Thrive's General Operating Manual (GOM), Operational Specifications, and departmental operating procedures.
- Maintains open communication and coordination with assigned crew members, dispatch, maintenance, and administration.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management or senior leadership.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2,500 hours of Fixed Wing Total Time
- 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Total Time
- ICAO compliant
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- Valid US Passport (not expired)
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi/Instrument Rating
- FCC Radio License
- Current, valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Excellent communication skills.
- Eligible to fly internationally into any country or jurisdiction without restrictions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willingness to embrace new challenges as the company grows.
- Residency in Las Vegas or willingness to relocate prior to the hire date.
Physical Requirements
- Must have and maintain a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Ability to maintain a seated position for extended periods within a confined space.
Work Environment
- The work is typically performed in a seated position for extended periods.
- Frequent interaction with customers and other flight crew members within a confined space.
- Potential for extended travel away from home, requiring several days/weeks of absence each week.
- Irregular work hours, including potential for short-notice calls for flying or canceled flights.
