Global Engagement Pilot - Tokyo, Japan

Boeing is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Global Engagement Pilot to join its team in Tokyo, Japan. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety and advancement of Boeing flight operations worldwide while collaborating with industry professionals and contributing to a world-class team.

The Role:

As a Global Engagement Pilot, you will be a key member of the Pilot Services Team, responsible for extensive customer engagement to enhance flight operations safety and promote the effective utilization of Boeing products. You will represent Boeing to industry and regulatory bodies, engaging with pilots, managers, regulators, executives, and subject matter experts. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of flight safety, training, and operations.

Responsibilities:

• Foster and maintain robust relationships with key industry stakeholders, regulatory authorities, industry bodies, peers, partners, and direct reports.
• Secure resources for projects and processes, manage technical aspects of supplier relationships, and lead process improvements.
• Develop and implement project and process plans, execute policies and procedures, and set operational goals.
• Design and conduct familiarization, qualification, standardization, flight, and ground instruction programs for both company and customer aircrew.
• Demonstrate exceptional crew resource management skills while operating aircraft.
• Manage, mentor, develop, and evaluate pilots performing aircrew duties, ensuring safe flight operations.
• Act as Pilot in Command and Instructor on Boeing and customer aircraft.

Requirements:

• Current FAA ATP or EASA ATPL or equivalent international qualification.
• Current FAA or EASA First Class Medical certificate or equivalent international qualification.
• Minimum 5,000 hours of total flight time in a public transport category aircraft.
• Minimum 1,000 hours of flight instructor experience.
• Current B737, B787, or B777 type rating.
• Experience as a FAA Part 121 Airline Instructor Pilot and/or Line Check Airman, or International equivalent.
• Proven ability to present effectively to all levels of management.
• Valid passport and the ability to obtain travel visas for both domestic and international travel.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
• International and transoceanic flight experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Management experience.
• Fluency in written and verbal Japanese.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is negotiable for eligible candidates (one-way relocation only). Boeing will sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position is locally hired in Tokyo. Benefits and compensation are determined locally and are not part of the Boeing U.S. payroll system. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, aligning with applicable local laws.
