Fighter Pilot - Point Mugu
Textron Systems, through its Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC) business area, is seeking a qualified Fighter Pilot to support tactical flight training and adversary aggressor services for U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force pilots. ATAC is the world’s largest outsourced civilian, tactical airborne training organization, providing high-quality live training to Squadrons, Air Wings, and Battle Groups.
Job Summary
The Fighter Pilot will operate IAI F-21 Kfir, MK-58 Hawker Hunter, F-1 Mirage, or AERO Vodochody L-39 Albatros aircraft in support of U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force training and readiness missions. Responsibilities include supporting 4th and 5th Generation Fighter operational and conversion syllabus training, continuation training missions, surface fleet pre-deployment training, and large force employment missions. Flight operations will be conducted from ATAC's permanent facilities and deployed locations as required.
Key Responsibilities

Employ ATAC fighter aircraft as a surrogate Adversary, Red Air, Aggressor, or Close Air Support pilot for U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and USAF aircrew, JTAC, surface fleet, large force employment exercises, or intercept controller training.

Maintain FAA instrument currency, Second Class medical certification, adversary mission qualifications, and associated mission currencies, including low-level, dynamic mission, and unlimited air combat tactics maneuvering in a high-G environment.

Attend and participate in mass briefings, adversary coordination briefings, and other pre-flight briefings.

Plan and execute adversary missions, followed by flight debriefings and attendance at mass debriefings.

Adhere to all training rules and pre-briefed maneuvering restrictions.

Collect and disseminate lessons learned.

Complete necessary ground training prior to flights.

Deploy as required to support mission requirements.

Assume additional duties such as Pilot Scheduling, Training, NATOPS/Standards & Evaluation, Safety, or other Program Management responsibilities as needed.
Required Experience and Qualifications

Previously DoD Tactically Trained Fighter Pilot.

Previously qualified 4-Ship/Division Flight Lead.

700 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) of any fixed-wing DOD-owned/operated fighter aircraft.

100 hours PIC at night.

Logged 100 hours PIC time in the past 12 months.

Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.

FAA Commercial, Airplane Single Engine Land Privileges.

Secret Security Clearance.
-
U.S. Citizenship.
Specific Navy Contract Qualifications

1000 hours PIC of a military tactical aircraft.

500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) of any fixed-wing DOD-owned/operated fighter aircraft.

Squadron Command experience.
