The Role of the First Officer

Essential Pilot Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates applying for the First Officer position must satisfy the following mandatory criteria:
- Possession of a valid EASA (frozen) ATPL license.
- Possession of a valid EASA Medical Certificate Class 1.
- Current and valid B737 type rating.
- Successful completion of a B737 line check.
- An EU/EEA passport valid for a minimum of six months from the proposed training start date.
- Demonstrated legal right to live and work in the Netherlands without restrictions.
- Ability to pass stringent aviation security background checks and satisfy all EU regulatory requirements necessary for flight crew clearance. (Candidates without long-term residence or unrestricted work rights in the EU should note that this requirement may impact eligibility.)
- Ability to report to the designated base within 60 minutes when assigned standby duty.
- Fluency in English, documented by a minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5.
