The Role of the First Officer

TUI Airline is inviting applications for the vital role of First Officer, B737. This position carries significant operational responsibilities. Essential Pilot Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates applying for the First Officer position must satisfy the following mandatory criteria:

  • Possession of a valid EASA (frozen) ATPL license.
  • Possession of a valid EASA Medical Certificate Class 1.
  • Current and valid B737 type rating.
  • Successful completion of a B737 line check.
  • An EU/EEA passport valid for a minimum of six months from the proposed training start date.
  • Demonstrated legal right to live and work in the Netherlands without restrictions.
  • Ability to pass stringent aviation security background checks and satisfy all EU regulatory requirements necessary for flight crew clearance. (Candidates without long-term residence or unrestricted work rights in the EU should note that this requirement may impact eligibility.)
  • Ability to report to the designated base within 60 minutes when assigned standby duty.
  • Fluency in English, documented by a minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5.

Pilot Selection Procedure

  3. Assessment Centre (conducted at HQ Rijswijk)
