Position Overview: Flight Crew Member

The CMA CGM Group, a global leader in maritime, land, air, and logistics solutions, invites applications for the position of Flight Crew Member at Air Belgium. Since joining the CMA CGM Group in May 2025, Air Belgium has focused on cargo operations, leveraging a fleet of Boeing 747-8 aircraft with plans for significant fleet expansion in 2027.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Flight Crew Member, the successful candidate is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of flights. This role is integral to maintaining the company’s reputation for excellence and requires professional, mindful conduct at all times. Core responsibilities include:

  • Active participation in flight briefings to ensure comprehensive situational awareness.
  • Contribution to achieving and maintaining high on-time performance standards.
  • Proactive management of operational concerns and problem-solving in coordination with the Captain.
  • Execution of safety and security protocols during flight operations in accordance with company procedures.
  • Representation of the organization as a corporate ambassador, upholding company values.
  • Fostering collaborative teamwork and providing support to flight crew colleagues.
  • Completion of additional duties relevant to company objectives within the scope of professional competencies.

Candidate Requirements

Candidates must meet the following mandatory qualifications and certifications:

  • Valid EASA CPL or ATPL license.
  • Valid type rating and valid Instrument Rating (IR).
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours flight time on B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, or B787 aircraft.
  • Minimum of 2,000 hours flight time on aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 44 tons.
  • English Language Proficiency (ELP) level 5 or higher.
  • Legal right to work and reside in Belgium.
  • Possession of all necessary health-related and operational certificates required for entry into territories served by Air Belgium.

Note: All specified ratings must be currently endorsed on the candidate's EASA license.
