Flight Operations Coordinator
This position is responsible for authorizing, scheduling, regulating, and controlling flights in accordance with government and company regulations to effectively expedite flight operations schedules.
Essential Functions

Ensure accuracy and completeness of data within Talon scheduling software.

Perform ground instructor duties for assigned classes in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and approved Training Course Outlines.

Generate and evaluate reports to verify crew legality and qualifications for flight assignments.

Execute plans for irregular operations, including major cancellations, SWAP events, and delays.

Coordinate with Dispatch and Maintenance departments to resolve operational, instructor, and student-related issues.

Guide and direct instructors and students regarding flight operations scheduling and aircraft utilization.

Manage daily aircraft scheduling, planning, and control, including tracking schedule changes and student/instructor attendance.

Collaborate with instructors to ensure consistent student flight scheduling.

Liaise with the Director of Maintenance regarding operational requirements and Estimated Time in Commission (ETIC).

Prepare comprehensive daily reports concerning delays, cancellations, and associated causes.

Maintain a professional demeanor while enforcing the Student Code of Conduct and upholding a customer-focused attitude.

Support flexible scheduling requirements as dictated by business necessity.

Maintain strict compliance with all company policies and procedures related to flight and dispatch operations.
Knowledge and Skills

Proven knowledge of scheduling and dispatch operations.

Proficiency in flight scheduling software, specifically Talon or FlightPro.
Qualifications
Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.

Two (2) years of scheduling experience is preferred.
Physical Demands
This role is performed primarily in a professional office or operations control environment. Employees must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and maintain close visual acuity for data monitoring. Required physical activities include regular standing, walking, reaching, and handling office equipment. The role requires the ability to lift up to ten pounds frequently and up to fifty pounds occasionally. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours is required.
