Captain - Caravan C-208

This is an exempt, full-time position reporting directly to the Chief Pilot or Director of Operations.
About Southern Airways:
Southern Airways Corporation has been conducting charter operations under Part 135 since 2012 and added Essential Air Service operations in 2016. In 2019, we acquired Mokulele Airlines, expanding our operations to include intra-island flights in Hawaii. We operate under Southern Airways Express and Mokulele Airlines.
Our route structure allows most pilots to return home daily during their workweek, providing schedule flexibility. Our current bases are located in: DUJ, BFD, BRL, MGW, MKG, LNS, HOT, HRO, ELD, UIN, MKL, HNL, OGG, and KOA.
Responsibilities:
As a Captain, you will be responsible for:
- Safely operating the Caravan C-208 aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Providing exceptional customer service to passengers.
- Maintaining accurate flight logs and other required documentation.
- Participating in training programs and maintaining currency.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
- Current FAA ATP or Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating.
- Minimum 1200 flight hours, including:
- 500 hours cross country.
- 100 hours night flight.
- 75 hours instrument flight with no more than 25 hours simulated.
- Current FAA second-class medical certificate (must be current prior to training).
- Radio Operators Certificate.
- Valid US Passport (required for CASS participation).
- Availability and flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.
- Successful completion of a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen per airline and/or company regulations.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating the C-208 aircraft.
- 100 hours of turbine total time.
- Part 135 experience.
Benefits:
- 65 Block Hours per month guarantee.
- Hotel accommodations during training (approximately 25 days).
- 12-Month $10,050 Training Contract required.
- Paid training - $400/wk.
- Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance with the company paying a majority of the costs.
- $50,000 Life Insurance Policy fully paid for by the company.
- $35 flat rate per diem when on an overnight away from the assigned base.
- Participation in CASS (Contractual Air Service Standards).
