Aviation Pilot Opportunities: First Officer (SIC) & Captain (PIC)
Tropic Ocean Airways, recognized as the largest seaplane operator in the Southeast United States, is actively seeking highly qualified and dedicated aviation professionals. The airline proudly operates a modern fleet of Cessna Grand Caravan EX aircraft, meticulously equipped with Wipaire amphibious floats. Operations span diverse and scenic locations, including The Bahamas, the Caribbean, and New York.

Minimum Qualifications for First Officer (SIC)
- A minimum of 250 hours Total Flight Time.
- Valid FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL) and Instrument Rating.
- Valid FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Single Engine Sea (ASES).
- Current FAA High Performance and Complex Endorsements.
- Valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
Minimum Qualifications for Captain (PIC)
Candidates applying for the Captain (PIC) position must satisfy all the minimum qualifications for First Officer (SIC), in addition to the following:
- A minimum of 1200 hours Total Flight Time.
- A minimum of 500 hours Cross-Country Flight Time.
- A minimum of 100 hours Night Flight Time.
- A minimum of 75 hours Instrument Flight Time.
- A minimum of 100 hours Seaplane (Float) Time.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with Garmin G1000 integrated avionics systems.
- Previous Seaplane experience.
- Prior Turbine Aircraft experience.
- Specific experience operating Cessna 208 aircraft.
