Yute Commuter Service is seeking a First Officer (FO) for its Cessna 208 Caravan operations based in Bethel, Alaska. This role is part of a Professional Development Program designed to provide pilots with valuable experience and a structured career path towards becoming a Captain (PIC).

About the Role

The First Officer will serve as Second in Command (SIC) on the Cessna 208 Caravan, operating under Part 135 scheduled and charter regulations. Pilots will fly alongside experienced Captains, gaining essential turbine flight experience and receiving structured mentoring. The position offers a 15 days on, 15 days off roster. The primary base is Bethel, with opportunities at additional bases including Aniak and St. Mary's.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate as Second in Command (SIC) on the Cessna 208 Caravan.
• Receive structured mentoring focused on line operations, decision-making, and customer service.
• Accumulate turbine flight experience.
• Follow a defined career progression towards Captain (PIC) upon meeting experience and proficiency requirements.
• Conduct Part 135 scheduled and charter flights in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with dispatch, maintenance, and fellow crew members.

Requirements

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate (Single Engine Land).
• Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
• A strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and ongoing learning.
• The program does not specify minimum flight hours for applicants.

Qualifications

• CPL license is required.
• Applicants do not need a specific type rating for the Cessna 208 Caravan to enter the program.
