This Captain role involves freight operations, typically domiciled at an outstation, with a stable, repeatable schedule.

About the Role

The Caravan Captain serves as a dedicated line pilot responsible for freight transportation routes. The assignment typically involves basing at an outstation, flying freight to a central hub overnight, and returning freight to the domicile in the morning. Pilots generally have daytime availability at home and receive accommodations at the hub during overnight stays. The position offers a stable work assignment, typically running Monday through Friday or Saturday morning.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as a line pilot operating assigned freight routes.
• Conduct flight operations from the domicile airport to the hub airport, including overnight stays at the hub.
• Transport freight back to the domicile airport.
• Perform duties effectively with or without direct supervision.
• Maintain professional interactions with employees, customers, and suppliers.
• Contribute effectively as a team member.
• Work independently while coordinating with relevant personnel and service agencies.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1,200 hours of total flight time.
• A minimum of 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
• A minimum of 500 hours of cross-country flight time.
• A minimum of 100 hours of night flight time.
• A minimum of 75 hours of instrument flight time, including 50 hours in actual flight.
• Possession of a Second-Class Medical Certificate.
• Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) currency and proficiency.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or possess U.S. work authorization.
