Key Responsibilities

The Falcon 2000S Captain will bear primary responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the Falcon 2000S aircraft, ensuring all flights are conducted in a prudent manner and in strict adherence to company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the absolute safe operation of the Falcon 2000S aircraft during all phases of flight.
  • Conducting comprehensive pre-flight preparations, which encompass:
    • Thoroughly reviewing the maintenance status and overall airworthiness of the aircraft.
    • Performing a meticulous pre-flight inspection in strict accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
    • Completing a detailed assessment of prevailing weather conditions and available facilities along the planned route, including all primary and alternate airports.
  • Operating all flights in full compliance with Solairus Aviation’s established policies and procedures, as well as all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Prioritizing and ensuring the utmost safety and comfort of all passengers, the aircraft, and fellow crew members.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork and flight documentation in accordance with current operational procedures and deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

Prospective candidates must demonstrate a robust flight history and meet the following minimum experience requirements:

  • Total Flight Time: 3000 hours
  • Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL) PIC Time: 500 hours
  • Turbojet Time: 500 hours
  • Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Requirements and Certifications

In addition to the flight hour requirements, applicants must possess the following specific qualifications and certifications:

  • A current Type Rating on the Falcon 2000S or a comparable aircraft is essential.
  • A valid First Class FAA Medical Certificate is required and must be maintained.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work on an on-call basis, accommodating the flexible schedule inherent to corporate aviation operations.
  • Commitment to completing ICAO International procedures training annually to maintain proficiency.
  • Primary residence within a two-hour drive from KDLL airport, or a demonstrated willingness to relocate to the Baraboo, WI area.
