Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Challenger 300 Captain bears primary responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the Challenger 300 aircraft. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the safe and prudent conduct of all flights, adhering strictly to Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Thoroughly reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status and conducting comprehensive pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Performing diligent checks of weather conditions, airport facilities, and potential alternate airports along the planned route of flight.
  • Prioritizing the safety and comfort of all passengers, aircraft, and crew members at all times.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork and documentation in compliance with established company procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:

  • Total Time: 3,000 hours
  • Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 1,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land Pilot-in-Command (MEL PIC) Time: 500 hours
  • Turbojet Time: 500 hours
  • Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Requirements and Certifications

In addition to the flight hour requirements, applicants should possess:

  • A current and valid Type Rating on the Challenger 300 aircraft, or a comparable business jet with a strong willingness to obtain the Challenger 300 type rating.
  • A valid FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • The flexibility and availability to work on an on-call basis, accommodating diverse flight schedules.
  • A commitment to completing annual ICAO International Procedures training.
  • Primary residence within a two-hour drive of Opa-locka Executive Airport (KOPF) or a strong willingness to relocate to the area.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is determined based on a comprehensive assessment of geographic location, depth of experience, aircraft type, specific job duties, required training, and the assigned operational account.
