Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Challenger 300 Captain will be entrusted with the comprehensive responsibility for the safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant operation of the Challenger 300 aircraft. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Executing all flight operations in strict adherence to Solairus Aviation policies and procedures, as well as all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
• Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual and reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status.
• Performing comprehensive checks of weather conditions, airport facilities, and potential alternate airports along the planned route.
• Ensuring the paramount safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew members throughout every flight.
• Accurately completing all required trip paperwork and documentation in accordance with established procedures.

Required Qualifications

Prospective candidates must possess a robust flight background demonstrating significant experience in advanced aviation operations. Minimum flight time requirements include:

• Total Flight Time: 3000 hours
• Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 1500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land Pilot-in-Command (MEL PIC) Time: 500 hours
• Turbine Jet Time: 500 hours
• Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Certifications and Requirements

In addition to the flight experience, candidates must meet the following specific qualifications:

• Possession of a current Type Rating on the Challenger 300 aircraft or a comparable business jet.
• A valid First-Class FAA Medical Certificate.
• Ability to operate on an on-call basis, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to dynamic scheduling needs.
• Commitment to completing annual ICAO International Procedures training.
• A primary residence within a two-hour drive of Washington Dulles International Airport (KIAD) or a willingness to relocate to the area.

Compensation

Solairus Aviation offers a competitive compensation package, with salaries ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of market conditions, geographic area, candidate experience, aircraft type, specific job duties, required training, and assigned account.
