Solairus Aviation | G-V Captain

Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G550 Captain for operations at KPWK airport in Wheeling, Illinois. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, expert, and service-oriented client travel in adherence to Solairus Aviation's core values of safety, service, and integrity.

About the Role

The Gulfstream G550 Captain will oversee the safe operation of the aircraft and conduct all flights in a safe and prudent manner. Responsibilities include reviewing aircraft maintenance status, performing thorough pre-flight inspections according to the Aircraft Flight Manual, evaluating weather and facility information for planned routes and alternate airports, and ensuring strict compliance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. The Captain is paramount in protecting the safety of passengers, the aircraft, and the crew, while also accurately completing all required trip documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 3,000 hours of total flight time.
• Minimum 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
• Minimum 1,500 hours of multi-engine (MEL) flight time.
• Minimum 500 hours of MEL PIC time.
• Minimum 500 hours of turbojet flight time.
• Minimum 250 hours of instrument flight time.
• Must hold a current first-class medical certificate.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis.

Qualifications

• Type rating on the Gulfstream G550 or a comparable aircraft is required.
• Must complete annual ICAO International Procedures Training.
• Candidates must either maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KPWK or demonstrate a willingness to relocate to the Wheeling, Illinois area.
