Solairus Aviation | First Officer

Solairus Aviation seeks a full-time Citation XLS First Officer to serve as second-in-command for operations based at Morristown, New Jersey (KMMU). This role is integral to ensuring safe, compliant, and service-focused business aviation flights.

About the Role

The First Officer is responsible for the safe operation of the Citation XLS, conducting flights prudently in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies, Federal Aviation Regulations, and the approved Aircraft Flight Manual. Key responsibilities include reviewing aircraft maintenance status, completing pre-flight inspections, analyzing weather and facilities along the route, ensuring regulatory compliance, protecting the safety of passengers and crew, and accurately completing all trip paperwork.

Requirements

• Minimum 1,000 hours of total flight time.
• Minimum 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
• Minimum 500 hours of Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time.
• Minimum 100 hours of MEL PIC time.
• Minimum 100 hours of turbojet time.
• Minimum 75 hours of instrument time.

Qualifications

• Type rating on the Citation XLS or a comparable aircraft.
• Valid first-class medical certificate.
• Annual completion of ICAO International procedures training.
• Must be able to work on an on-call basis.
• Must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KMMU or be willing to relocate.
