Solairus Aviation is seeking a Full-Time Citation XLS Second-in-Command (SIC) for operations based at Morristown, New Jersey (KMMU).

This position involves the safe and expert operation of the Citation XLS aircraft, ensuring the highest standards of safety, service, and integrity are maintained. The SIC will contribute to meeting client travel needs while adhering to Solairus Aviation's operational policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. The role demands a collaborative team member dedicated to excellence in all aspects of performance.
Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe operation of the Citation XLS aircraft.

Conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner, including:

Reviewing aircraft maintenance status.

Performing pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.

Completing thorough checks of weather and facilities for the planned route and alternate airports.

Ensuring flight operations comply with Solairus Aviation policies and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.

Maintaining the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew.

Accurately completing all required trip paperwork.
Qualifications

Total flight time: 1,000 hours

Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time: 500 hours

Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time: 500 hours

MEL PIC time: 100 hours

Time in Turbo Jet aircraft: 100 hours

Instrument flight time: 75 hours
Specific Qualifications and Certifications

Type rating on Citation XLS or comparable aircraft.

Valid First Class Medical Certificate.

Ability to work on an on-call basis.

Completion of ICAO International procedures training annually.

Primary residence within a 2-hour drive of KMMU or willingness to relocate.
