Sierra West Airlines is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learjet 60 Captain to join its professional Flight Crew. Job Responsibilities
- Maintains professional and effective communication skills for complex internal and external aircraft communications.
- Presents a professional appearance, suitable for passenger-carrying operations.
- Delivers exceptional customer service, ensuring passenger satisfaction and comfort.
- Contributes to ground operations, including assisting with freight loading/unloading, aircraft cleaning, stocking, and other essential support duties.
- Operates the aircraft in strict adherence to all applicable aviation regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Prioritizes the safety of all flight crew members and passengers, coupled with a commitment to exemplary customer service.
- Diligently identifies, documents, and communicates aircraft deficiencies for prompt maintenance review and corrective action.
- Executes flight operations safely and efficiently across diverse conditions, including day, night, and various weather environments.
- Undertakes additional duties as assigned to support overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License.
- Current Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC).
- English language proficiency (read, write, speak).
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Possession of a current, valid Passport.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs., climbing ladders, and maneuvering effectively around aircraft.
- Successful completion of pre-employment Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screening and comprehensive background checks.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
- Willingness and ability to relocate to the assigned base and undertake extensive travel.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime and occasional after-hour call-outs, as operational demands require.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 1,500 hours Total Time (TT).
- Minimum of 500 hours Multi-Engine (ME) time.
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate is required.
- Possession of an iPad for operational use upon reporting for duty is required.
- Current Learjet 60 Type Rating and relevant operational experience are required.
- Part 135 operational experience is highly preferred.
- While relocation to the base is preferred, consideration may be given to home-based candidates.
