First Officer - Singapore Based

Scoot, a dynamic low-cost carrier, is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic First Officer to join their expanding team in Singapore. Since its inception in 2012, Scoot has grown to a fleet of over 50 aircraft, ranging from the Airbus A320 family to the Boeing 787 Dreamliners, and continues to innovate and enhance passenger travel. The airline will also welcome the Embraer E190-E2 to their fleet in 2024. This role is based at their Singapore headquarters and is a full-time position.

The First Officer will work closely with the Captain to ensure safe, comfortable, and on-time flights, while contributing to the distinctive “Scootitude” passenger experience. This position requires the individual to be a strong team player who is composed, confident, and mature. The ideal candidate will also possess a great sense of humor and the "Scootitude" DNA.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1,500 hours of total fixed-wing flight time on airplanes with a maximum takeoff mass of 5,700kg or more.
  • Must hold a Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) issued ICAO CPL(A) or ATPL(A). Foreign ATPL holders must undergo license conversion, which requires a valid instrument rating and a proficiency check with at least 6 months validity.
  • Demonstrate the ability to speak and understand English with a minimum of ICAO level 4.
  • Must satisfy all vaccination requirements as mandated by CAAS.

Training and Bonding

Successful candidates may be required to complete Aircraft Type Rating training for their assigned fleet. Candidates who receive type rating training will be subject to a training cost co-payment and a training bond.

Application Process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete online aptitude tests. Following this, successful applicants will be invited to an Assessment Centre in Europe (city to be confirmed) during March/April 2025. This assessment will include a group exercise and an individual interview. Successful candidates will then complete a two-day Simulator Assessment and MMPI Assessment.
