This role of First Officer is pivotal in upholding the airline's commitment to safe, comfortable, and on-time performance. In close collaboration with the Captain, the First Officer contributes to the seamless delivery of exceptional service and upholds the unique "Scootitude" experience for all passengers.

First Officer Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1500 hours of total fixed-wing flight time on aeroplanes with a Maximum Takeoff Mass (MTMA) of 5700 kg or more is required.
  • Possession of a Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) issued ICAO Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL(A)) or Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL(A)) is essential. Foreign ATPL holders will be required to complete a license conversion, including an instrument rating and a proficiency check with a minimum of six months' validity.
  • Demonstrated ability to speak and comprehend English to a minimum ICAO Level 4 proficiency.
  • Compliance with all CAAS-mandated vaccination requirements.

Training and Commitment

  • Successful candidates will undergo Aircraft Type Rating training for their assigned fleet, where applicable.
  • A training co-payment and subsequent training bond will apply to candidates provided with type rating training.

Recruitment Process

  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to undertake a series of online aptitude assessments.
  • Candidates progressing from the online assessment will be invited to an Assessment Centre in Singapore. This stage includes a group activity and individual interview.
  • Successful candidates will then participate in a two-day simulator assessment and MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) assessment.
