Direct Entry Captain: Airbus A320 – Copenhagen

SAS is currently seeking experienced A320 Captains to join the airline during an era of significant growth and innovation. As the carrier prepares for its largest summer program in 2026, the airline is expanding its route network across Europe, North America, and Asia. Operating a modern fleet of over 100 Airbus aircraft, SAS provides a professional environment that ranges from complex Nordic winter operations to high-density international airspaces.

Position Overview

This is a permanent, Direct Entry Captain position based in Copenhagen. Candidates may choose between a 100% full-time contract or an 83.3% part-time agreement. The flexible 83.3% contract features a seasonal flying pattern, providing 100% rostering during summer and December, and 50–75% during the remainder of the year.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet all criteria and hold valid licenses at the time of application:

  • Unrestricted EASA ATPL (A).
  • EASA ATPL (A), CPL (A), or MPL (non-Scandinavian EASA licenses must be converted prior to course commencement).
  • Valid Class 1 Medical and valid Instrument Rating.
  • ICAO English Level 5 or 6.
  • Unrestricted right to live and work in the EU.
  • Clean criminal record.

Flight Experience

  • Minimum 4,000 hours total flying time.
  • Minimum 2,000 hours on jet aircraft or high-speed turboprops.
  • Minimum 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on aircraft with an MTOW above 55.0 tonnes.
  • Proven experience with winter operations.

Security and Screening

Employment is subject to a background check, personal security interview, and drug and alcohol testing. Candidates must be available to complete the personal security interview and testing in Copenhagen.

Recruitment Process
