Scandinavian Airlines is actively recruiting Non-Rated First Officers, welcoming applications from both experienced and low-hour pilots, to join their fleet based in Copenhagen, Denmark. First Officer positions are available on the Embraer 190 and Airbus A320 fleets, with bases in ARN, BGO, CPH, and OSL. SAS offers a dynamic work environment with excellent prospects for career advancement and permanent contracts. Pilots will have the chance to experience both long-haul and short-haul routes, and various aircraft types.
New pilots will start their career operating modern aircraft such as the Airbus A320 or Embraer 190, experiencing diverse operational challenges from major international airports to remote airfields. The selection process involves an online assessment followed by a physical assessment day, which includes a group task, a personal interview, and a simulator assessment. During the simulator assessment, candidates will spend time as both Pilot Monitoring (PM) and Pilot Flying (PF). Candidates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses for the physical assessment. Successful candidates will be offered a start date as soon as possible, with training courses scheduled for winter and spring 2025, as well as late summer 2025.
SAS covers all necessary training costs after employment. Pilots are subject to a training bond if employment is terminated within 36 months. The terms of the training bond are as follows:
SAS offers 42 days of vacation per year and uses two rostering systems, Variable Group and Fixed Group, with new hires initially placed in the Variable Group. This system provides at least 11 days off per month, with the flexibility to influence free weekends and additional days off. SAS provides industry discounted travel tickets and daily allowances to flight crew.
