Position Overview

The Direct Entry Captain position is based in Copenhagen. Pilots may choose between a 100% full-time contract or an 83.3% part-time agreement. The 83.3% option utilizes a seasonal flying pattern, providing 100% rostering during summer and December, and 50–75% during the remainder of the year.

  • Starting salary: 75,493 DKK per month (100%) or 62,861 DKK per month (83.3%).

Minimum Requirements

All candidates must meet the following criteria at the time of application:

  • Unrestricted EASA ATPL (A).
  • EASA ATPL(A), CPL(A), or MPL (Non-Scandinavian EASA licenses must be converted prior to course commencement).
  • Valid Class 1 Medical and Instrument Rating.
  • ICAO English Level 5 or 6.
  • Unrestricted right to live and work in the EU.
  • Clean criminal record.

Flight Experience Requirements

  • Total Time: 4,000+ hours.
  • Jet aircraft or high-speed turboprop experience: 2,000+ hours.
  • PIC experience on aircraft with MTOW above 55.0T: 1,000+ hours.
  • Demonstrable experience with winter operations.

Security & Screening

Successful candidates must pass a background check, personal security interview, and drug/alcohol testing. Note: The personal security interview and testing must be completed in Copenhagen.

Recruitment Process

Applications are reviewed on a continuous basis. The selection process consists of the following stages:

  1. CV Screening
  2. Online Interview
  3. Cognitive and Personality Assessments
  4. Assessment Days (Group exercises, simulator session, and personal interview)
  5. Final Background Screening, Security Interview, and Medical Testing

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to assessments in spring/summer 2026, with employment commencing in fall 2026. Previous applicants who did not attend an assessment may reapply at any time; those who were unsuccessful at an assessment must wait 24 months to reapply.
