Job Summary
Rockwell Automation is actively recruiting an experienced Aircraft Pilot, Captain. The successful candidate will be responsible for flying Rockwell leadership to various global customers, partners, and events. This role requires travel to Mitchell International Airport and reports directly to the Manager of Flight Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures the safe and efficient conduct of all assigned flights.
- Directs the activities of the Second-in-Command and ensures comprehensive understanding of all crewmember duties.
- Actively participates in the Safety Management System.
- Confirms aircraft airworthiness, registration, and the presence of all required documentation onboard.
- Assesses weather conditions and NOTAMs, and calculates fuel, oil, and oxygen requirements.
- Determines aircraft weight and balance parameters.
- Maintains current and up-to-date flight databases and iPad operational readiness.
- Verifies fulfillment of all flight planning requirements.
- Ensures all flight crewmembers possess valid certificates, Medical Certificates, passports, and visas as required.
- Confirms compliance with non-standard environmental rules and procedures at departure and destination airports.
- Completes thorough aircraft preflight inspections prior to each departure.
- Conducts Passenger Safety Briefings.
- Operates the aircraft in accordance with the Flight Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and checklists, strictly adhering to aircraft limitations.
- Continuously monitors usable fuel levels to ensure a safe landing with appropriate reserves and communicates effectively with ATC during abnormal situations.
- Ensures strict compliance with all customs, immigration, and cabotage laws.
- Manages the servicing, maintenance, and protection of the aircraft throughout all away-from-home station operations.
- Coordinates with the Manager of Maintenance regarding any aircraft maintenance requirements.
- Accurately records flight times and aircraft defects.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- Demonstrated English proficiency.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio Telephone Operator's Permit.
- Valid automobile driver's license.
- Valid U.S. passport.
- Valid First Class FAA Medical Certificate and the ability to pass a company physical examination.
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent number of relevant work experience years.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory. Rockwell Automation will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time, including at least 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC), 500 hours in multi-engine turbine aircraft, and 100 hours in company aircraft.
- Hold a type rating for at least one of the aircraft types operated by the company, if applicable.
- Experience operating Challenger 600 series aircraft.
- Oceanic flight experience.
