Position Overview

Rite-Hite, a global leader in loading dock and door equipment, is seeking a qualified Pilot to join our aviation team. This role supports the Director of Aviation in the safe and cost-effective transportation of company officials, customers, and passengers, ensuring full compliance with FAA standards. The successful candidate will provide support for flight operations, aircraft maintenance, and departmental administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Aviation in operating company aircraft in accordance with FAA standards and safety protocols.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre- and post-flight preparations, including weather assessments and aircraft readiness checks.
  • Manage chart updates and replacements to ensure navigation accuracy.
  • Optimize the cost-effective use of aircraft through efficient scheduling.
  • Perform routine aircraft preventative maintenance, including exterior washing and waxing, vacuuming, and general interior cleaning.
  • Engage in ongoing education and certification to maintain current aviation knowledge and skills.
  • Assist the Flight Department Manager with administrative tasks, including maintaining flight logs, records, FAA correspondence, and policy documentation.
  • Support the Maintenance Manager by performing aircraft run-ups during required technical checks.
  • Maintain the aircraft hangar facility to ensure operational security and inventory management.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 250 total flight hours on applicable aircraft type.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Multi-engine Commercial Pilot Certification.
  • First Class FAA Medical Certificate.
  • FCC Radio Telephone License.
  • Current Passport.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds into and out of aircraft.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in performing detailed aircraft inspections.
