Job Description: Take Flight with Rite-Hite
Rite-Hite is seeking to expand its Aviation department with the addition of a skilled Corporate Pilot. This pivotal role will operate from the company's state-of-the-art private hangar, conveniently located at the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport.
Purpose:
The Corporate Pilot is responsible for providing safe and efficient domestic and international passenger travel aboard Rite-Hite's corporate aircraft, which include a Gulfstream G550 and a G280. This role supports the Mike White Family, SixSibs, executives, company officials, and valued customers, ensuring all operations are in strict compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and required flight safety aircraft training. Additionally, the pilot will assist the Chief Pilot in repositioning the corporate aircraft to facilitate necessary maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate the Rite-Hite corporate aircraft in the safest and most efficient environments and locations, adhering to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, aircraft operating limitations, and company procedures.
- Conduct comprehensive aircraft pre- and post-flight operations, including but not limited to, weight and balance calculations, daily aircraft performance analysis using APG (Aircraft Performance Graphs), and adherence to aircraft limitations.
- Determine the safest airport destinations by evaluating current weather conditions, airport altitude, aircraft performance capabilities, and temperature variations.
- Select appropriate fixed-base operations (FBOs) based on fuel pricing, ramp and overnight fees, passenger amenities, and available transportation services.
- Maintain up-to-date subscriptions for essential services such as Foreflight, APG, PlaneBook (for G550), Fltplan.com, eAPIS, and other regulatory manuals required for domestic and international travel.
- Ensure the most cost-effective utilization of the Rite-Hite corporate aircraft through efficient and safe route planning, destination selection, and scheduling adjustments when circumstances or unexpected aircraft malfunctions necessitate.
- Perform aircraft cleaning duties, which may include exterior wipe-downs of the G550 and G280 as needed, interior vacuuming and cleaning after every flight, and restocking of consumables for passengers. Verify appropriate stock levels are maintained on board.
- Undertake hangar duties, including but not limited to, vacuuming offices and lounges, cleaning bathrooms and hangar floors on a weekly basis, performing ramp snow plowing and shoveling, and adhering to proper towing limitations when maneuvering aircraft in and out of the hangar.
- Participate in bi-annual pilot training conducted by Flight Safety International. Continuously maintain aviation knowledge and skills through relevant publications such as Aviation Safety, IFR procedures, Business and Commercial Aviation, specific aircraft manufacturer updates, periodicals, and service/safety operational bulletins.
- Fulfill administrative requirements, including the preparation of flight logs, squawk sheets, pilot logbooks, any necessary FAA correspondence, and adherence to policies and procedures. Daily review of the company flight calendar and the BART flight scheduling program is also required.
- Maintain required Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) badging.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as they arise.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Maximize cost-effective utilization of company aircraft through proficient scheduling.
- Transport company officials, customers, and passengers safely and professionally.
- Safely and efficiently transport the Rite-Hite corporate aircraft to maintenance facilities in compliance with FAA standards.
- Complete assigned aircraft hangar facility maintenance in a timely and effective manner.
- Continuously upgrade and maintain required aviation knowledge and skills through ongoing education to ensure maximum flight safety.
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
- Associate's degree (minimum) from an accredited college or university.
- 3,000 Total Flight Time.
- 1,000 Multi-engine Flight Time.
- 1,000 Turbine Flight Time.
- 500 Turbo Jet Flight Time.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Class II FAA Medical Certificate.
- FCC Radio Telephone License.
- Current Passport.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Capacity to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
- Proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
- Capability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Aptitude for interpreting a wide variety of technical instructions presented in mathematical or diagrammatic form, and proficiency in handling multiple abstract and concrete variables.
