POSITION PURPOSE

Enters and updates data records to ensure crewmembers and instructor qualifications meet FAA and Republic Airways regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

+ Enters crewmember and instructor records and data into appropriate databases.

+ Collects data from instructors and maintains training inbox.

+ Tracks pilot distance learning and crafts memos to ensure compliance with FAA requirements.

+ Runs and creates a variety of reports to identify disqualified pilots to be removed from flying status. Tracks missing paperwork and ensures compliance in coordination with Managers of Training.

+ Monitors progress of new hire and upgrade pilots from start of training to end of training. Verifies dates for pilot line flying.

+ Adapts to and implements changes with regards to Training Regulations, Manuals, and/or Training Record Maintenance

+ Fields all questions for pilots and instructors related to training.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

+ Above average computer skills are required, especially with Microsoft Office applications.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

+ At least 1 year of clerical experience.

+ Knowledge of Codes of Federal Regulations governing training records.

+ Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office applications.

+ Aviation experience is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

DECISION MAKING

Makes limited decisions and determines best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies and in coordination with Managers of Training. Impact of decisions is moderate.

Able to move about the work environment.

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use a keyboard, talk and hear.

Typically not exposed to extreme environmental conditions.

Work shift may include working four 10-hour days and work on weekends.
