Key Requirements and Qualifications:

Minimum Flight Experience:

  • Total Flight Time: 1500 hours
  • Turbine Flight Time: 500 hours
  • Type Rating: Not required; comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Flight Time Notes: Candidates should possess 500 hours of cross-country (XC) time, 100 hours of night (NT) time, and 75 hours of instrument time. Experience in tactical aircraft or similar operations that necessitate the concurrent use of a secondary skillset while piloting is highly valued.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience operating the Caravan or PT6A aircraft.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) or a military flight instructor.

Currency Requirements:

  • A minimum of 20 flight hours within the last 12 months in an aircraft category similar to the Caravan.

License and Medical Requirements:

  • Required Licenses: Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Instrument Rating (IR).
  • Acceptable License Holders: FAA.
  • Medical Certificate: Class 2 Medical Certificate.

Professional Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in flight operations.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in performing or managing a flight test program, or holding a leadership role within an aviation context.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Graduation from an SETP (Society of Experimental Test Pilots) recognized flight test school is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated diversity of experience across multiple aircraft and airframes.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with automated and/or large remotely operated vehicles (e.g., UAS, spacecraft).
  • Experience working within a Flight Test program focused on certification.
  • Proven experience in developing flight procedures, training curricula, and safety management systems.
  • Experience flying for a 14 CFR Part 135 or 121 Air Carrier.
  • A deep understanding of FAA certification processes and their practical implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of systems engineering processes and principles.
  • Basic familiarity with software programming principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team with minimal to no direct supervision.
