Pilot in Command - Turboprop Aircraft
Rampart Aviation is actively recruiting for a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) to join its distinguished flight operations team. The successful candidate will operate within our esteemed fleet of turboprop aircraft, requiring proven experience in multi-engine turboprop operations.
Position Overview
- The Pilot in Command will perform all essential duties for Rampart Aviation's flight operations.
- This CONUS-based position is situated near Point Mugu, California (KNDT), and requires the candidate to reside in the local area.
- The role may encompass responsibilities as an Instructor Pilot and/or Check Airman.
- While primarily CONUS-based, short-term deployments may be necessary.
- Flight operations are conducted under the regulatory frameworks of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 91, 105, and 135.
- All duties are to be executed in strict adherence to Company Operations Manuals, Military Operations Procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Ratings:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multi-engine Land rating.
- Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Certified Instrument Flight Instructor (CFII), and Multi-engine Instructor (MEI) ratings are highly desirable.
- A valid First Class Medical Certificate.
Preferred Minimum Flight Experience
- 2500 hours of Total Flight Time.
- 500 hours of Multi-Engine Flight Time.
Additional Requirements
- Possession of a valid U.S. Passport.
- A valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance; a Secret Personal Security Clearance is strongly preferred.
Physical Demands
The role involves physical activities such as climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking, and working in tiring or uncomfortable positions. Lifting objects exceeding 50 pounds may be required. Specific vision abilities essential for this position include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment
The work environment is diverse, ranging from comfortable settings to situations involving inclement weather, severe temperature changes, wind, and rain. Travel to austere, high-stress environments will be required. Candidates may be exposed to high noise hazards, fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards.
