The pilot candidate must hold a valid EASA commercial pilot license with instrument flight ratings on multi-engine aircraft, specifically CPL(A), IR(A), and MEP (or higher). They should have successfully completed the ATPL(A) theory test, resulting in a frozen ATPL(A) with appropriate license endorsement. Furthermore, the pilot must have completed an MCC course with license entry, or possess demonstrable experience in a multi-pilot cockpit environment, also with MCC license entry. Minimum language proficiency requires English Level 4, alongside excellent written and spoken German skills. Completion of vocational training or attainment of a higher school qualification is also mandatory.
