Essential Pilot Candidate Requirements
Heron Aviation maintains rigorous standards for all flight crew. Applicants must meet the following mandatory minimum criteria:
- License Requirement: The candidate must possess a current, valid EASA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Flight Experience: A minimum of 1,000 hours of total flight time on jet aircraft is required.
- Medical Certification: A current Class 1 Medical Certificate must be maintained.
- Language Proficiency: ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) must be certified at Level 4 or higher.
- Communication Skills: Fluency in both spoken and written German and English is mandatory for operational and administrative effectiveness. Additional language skills are considered a significant advantage.
Preferred Qualifications and Operational Details
While Heron Aviation is committed to training, specific prior experience is highly valued:
- Type Rating: A specific type rating is not required at the time of application, as comprehensive initial type training will be provided to the successful candidate.
- Preferred Experience: Candidates who currently hold a type rating on the Dassault Falcon 7X or Falcon 8X will be given preference during the selection process.
Residency and Compliance
Applicants must acknowledge and adhere to the following critical residency and administrative conditions:
- Relocation Readiness: The selected candidate must be willing and prepared to establish permanent residency within the German territory, specifically within a 60-kilometer radius of Basel, Switzerland.
