Express Freighters Australia (EFA) is Qantas Freight’s wholly-owned subsidiary freighter management company. EFA operates the B737, B767 and A321 aircraft in Qantas Freight livery.

Operating by night, we transport freight within Australia (B737 and A321) and internationally (B767) on time and ready for the day ahead.

We fly everything from freight, pets, unaccompanied baggage, special movements or charter. This means for us, every day is different. No matter what we’re carrying on board, we take the same care we would flying passengers, never forgetting our customers on the ground rely on us just the same.

A number of fixed term contract opportunities now exist within Express Freighters Australia (EFA) for suitably qualified and experienced pilots.

Expressions of Interest for the following positions within EFA are now open:

• B737 First Officer and Direct Entry Captain, Melbourne Base
• B767 First Officer and Direct Entry Captain, Sydney Base
• A321 First Officer and Direct Entry Captain, Melbourne Base

Qualifications and Experience Required;

• Must have type rating on relevant aircraft type (B737 / B767 / A321)
• Recency on type (flown applicable aircraft type within the last 12 – 36 months)
• Minimum 1000 hours total time on applicable type
• Experience in freighter operations desirable
• An Australian ATPL (A) (preferred) or an Australian Commercial Pilot’s Licence (A) with passes in all Australian ATPL Theory subjects or equivalent
• Level 6 English language qualification on your licence
• Current endorsements for Instrument Approach 2D and 3D on a current Australian Instrument Rating – Multi Engine Aeroplane
• A current CASA Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• The ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test
• The ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• A current passport with unrestricted access to all Qantas ports of call with at least 12 months validity
• Australian citizenship or Australian permanent residency status
• Due to international and interstate travel restrictions, pilots residing in the applicable fleet base is highly desirable

Employment will be for a fixed term, with terms and conditions as per the Express Freighters Australia Operations Pty Ltd Enterprise Agreement 2014.
