Falcon 2000 LX Captain
An established aviation organization seeks a highly skilled and experienced Falcon 2000 LX Captain to join its team in Englewood, CO. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned aircraft, ensuring strict compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), company policies, and operational procedures. The Captain will manage all aspects of flight preparation and execution, encompassing crew coordination, comprehensive risk management, and exceptional passenger service. This role demands exceptional leadership capabilities, advanced technical expertise, and an unwavering focus on safety and customer satisfaction. As Pilot in Command (PIC), this individual serves as the final authority on all decisions concerning the aircraft and its operation. Projected annual flight hours are approximately 300 (250 owner/ 50 charter), operating within a two-pilot crew environment.
Salary Range: $220,000.00 - $240,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the Pilot in Command, assuming ultimate responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft on all assigned flights. Ensure unwavering compliance with all FAA regulations, company flight operations manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct meticulous pre-flight planning, including detailed weather analysis, precise performance calculations, route optimization, strategic fuel planning, and thorough aircraft airworthiness checks. Guarantee that all flight preparations align rigorously with company and regulatory standards.
- Maintain exemplary crew coordination and clear communication throughout all phases of flight. Lead the crew in performing duties in a professional, efficient, and cooperative manner, cultivating a strong culture of teamwork and safety.
- Deliver the highest caliber of customer service, prioritizing the safety, comfort, and overall satisfaction of passengers. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during flight, addressing any concerns or specific requests with professionalism and efficiency.
- Actively participate in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS), championing a proactive safety culture. Identify and mitigate potential risks using established risk analysis tools, and actively engage in safety audits and corrective action processes.
- Mentor and guide First Officers and other flight crew members, ensuring a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities. Provide constructive direction and consistent feedback to foster ongoing professional growth.
- Complete all required post-flight documentation accurately and efficiently, including comprehensive trip reports, detailed logbook entries, and any pertinent maintenance or operational notes. Report any safety concerns or equipment issues promptly to the maintenance team.
- Ensure that all flight operations adhere strictly to FAA regulations, including maintaining current training, medical certifications, and compliance with all company policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date flight crew records.
Qualifications:
- Flight Experience:
- Minimum 5000 total flight hours.
- 2500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- 2500 hours multi-engine land, with 1500 hours as multi-engine PIC.
- 2000 hours in turbine aircraft and 500 hours instrument time.
- Certifications:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multi-engine land rating is mandatory.
- Current First-Class Medical Certificate is mandatory.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit is preferred.
- Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations, advanced flight planning techniques, and effective safety management systems.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to make sound, well-reasoned decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in the utilization of flight planning and aviation management software.
- Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in Part 135 operations is highly desirable.
