Position Summary:
The Pilot in Command reports to the Lead Captain and is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all assigned flights. This role demands unwavering adherence to safety, security, and quality standards. The Pilot in Command holds ultimate authority for the safe conduct of each flight.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- FAA First-Class Medical Certificate (maintained).
- 4,000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
- 1,500 hours multi-engine land flight time.
- 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command time.
- 1,500 hours turbojet flight time.
- 1,500 hours turbine flight time.
- 100 hours night flight time.
- 75 hours actual or simulated instrument flight time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Flexible schedule availability.
- Ability and willingness to undertake extensive international travel without restriction.
- Valid driver's license.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safe aircraft operation, including flight planning, departure time determination, and flight cancellation decisions based on weather or other relevant conditions.
- Strict adherence to all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Implementation of necessary in-flight adjustments to maintain compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Safe and prudent flight conduct according to industry best practices and company standards.
- Accurate completion of all flight documentation according to established procedures.
- Comprehensive briefing of the Second in Command regarding all flight aspects.
- Accurate recording and timely reporting of all aircraft discrepancies to the Director of Maintenance or designee, including MEL consultation and deferral/repair determination as appropriate.
- Verification that flight crew members are properly attired and physically and mentally fit for duty.
- Comprehensive understanding of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure aircraft post-flight, including arranging hangar storage as needed or instructed.
- Acquisition of current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs from authorized sources.
- Flight plan filing with the FAA or relevant ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analysis of area, en-route, and terminal charts for intended and alternate airports.
- Functioning as the TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under applicable security programs.
- Conducting or assigning passenger safety briefings.
- Mentoring the Second in Command to prepare for Pilot in Command duties.
- Timely submission of pre-departure leg manifests and end-of-day (EOD) reports to operations control.
- Active participation in safety information sharing, reporting of hazards, and immediate reporting of hazardous events to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Delegation of duties (but not responsibilities) as appropriate.
- Performance of other duties as required.
- Representation of Jet Aviation internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The role involves a variety of physical demands, including lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The work environment includes both a heavy maintenance setting and upscale customer areas, with varying noise levels (including potentially loud hangar environments) and exposure to vibration, fuel fumes, and varying weather conditions.
