Training Center Flight Instructor
Job Summary
Pan Am International Flight Academy is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Training Center Flight Instructor to deliver exceptional flight instruction for Pan Am’s comprehensive and customized training programs. This pivotal role involves instructing both Pan Am customers and internal instructors, ensuring the highest standards of aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and successful applicant outcomes. The Training Center Flight Instructor is instrumental in upholding the academy's reputation for excellence in aviation training.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver superior quality flight training instruction, encompassing ground, flight, and other assigned curricula, to ensure optimal applicant success.
- Meticulously review applicant folders to confirm the completeness and accuracy of all required information and documentation.
- Accurately complete and submit all training records in a timely manner, strictly adhering to both Pan Am International Flight Academy and FAA policies.
- Facilitate effective communication regarding student progress with fellow instructors, Training Center Evaluators (TCEs), and the Director of Operations Control Center/Flight Standards.
- Maintain continuous qualifications on assigned aircraft equipment, ensuring proficiency and readiness for instruction.
- Uphold and rigorously enforce the stringent flight training standards established by both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Pan Am International Flight Academy.
- Ensure strict adherence to all policies and procedures outlined in the General Operations and Training Manuals.
- Undertake additional customer and instructor-related responsibilities as required to support comprehensive training operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Technical Requirements & Certifications
- Possession of all necessary FAA certificates and qualifications for the specific aviation courses delivered by Pan Am International Flight Academy is mandatory.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and effectively support cultural diversity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe products.
- Exceptional level of both written and verbal communication skills, crucial for effective instruction, documentation, and interpersonal interactions.
- A strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service and fostering positive client relationships.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This role operates primarily within professional office and advanced flight simulator environments. Physical requirements may include occasional medium lifting, up to 50 pounds. The position may also necessitate prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping, commensurate with the demands of training and administrative tasks.
Equipment Utilized
The incumbent will regularly utilize general office equipment, including computers, servers, copiers, telephones, and audiovisual equipment, in addition to advanced flight simulators and various flight training devices.
