Position Summary
PSA Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines, is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technical Pilot (MTP). The MTP is responsible for the safe operation of Part 91 flights in full compliance with all PSA manuals, handbooks, and regulatory documents. This role leverages strong communication and teamwork skills, along with a deep understanding of company operations, to enhance PSA policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinates with crewmembers to ensure safe and reliable flight operations.

Maintains compliance with all FARs, TSA, and DOT regulations, as well as company policies.

Manages administrative requirements, including airport/route qualification, flight time limitations, currency requirements, and uniform discipline.

Provides leadership and assumes full authority for the safety and efficient conduct of flights from the time of report until the completion of duty.

Conducts thorough visual preflight and post-flight inspections.

Promotes the company’s safety culture, including adherence to the Safety Management System (SMS).

Reports all irregularities or safety discrepancies immediately to the Assistant Director of Flight Technical.

Serves in a supervisory capacity, directing flight crews to meet operational requirements.
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience as a PSA Captain with 121-line operations.

Proficiency in maintaining knowledge of FAA requirements and company policies.

Ability to obtain an FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.

Ability to obtain a First-Class Medical certificate.

Ability to obtain a valid US or Foreign Passport with necessary VISAs prior to training.

Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).

Must demonstrate authorization to work in the United States.

Additional Information
Physical Demands:
This role is primarily sedentary but requires frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Employees must be able to communicate effectively.
Requirements:
All candidates must pass a fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49CFR1542.209 and a pre-employment drug screen.
