Lead Pilot in Command - Falcon 2000LX

Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly qualified and experienced Lead Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Falcon 2000LX aircraft based in Bedford, MA (KBED). This position offers the opportunity to join a dedicated three-pilot team, supported by a Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, operating under both Part 91 and 135 regulations. This is a new account to Executive Jet Management. Preference will be given to candidates holding a Falcon 2000LX type rating, possessing extensive experience in this aircraft type, and residing within a two-hour commute of KBED. The flight schedule comprises approximately 250 hours under Part 91 and 150 hours under Part 135.

The Lead PIC serves as a peer leader within the flight department, emphasizing effective crew resource management, superior client service, and the proficient completion of administrative duties. The role requires active participation in the flight schedule, adherence to all PIC responsibilities, and a strong commitment to safety, service, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads Flight Department Success: Manages client relationships, proactively addressing potential issues while aligning client needs with EJM's objectives. Collaborates with maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with all aircraft maintenance requirements. Completes owner/account duties, including invoice reviews, auditing, and vendor relations. Supports crew members, motivating them to achieve flight department goals while upholding the EJM brand. Manages flight department administration, including supplies and crew scheduling.
  • Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight: Guarantees crew and trip assignments comply with all company and regulatory requirements. Completes flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks. Utilizes the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology. Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and acts as the Ground and In-Flight Security Coordinator. Ensures aircraft pre-flight tasks are completed and records all discrepancies. Monitors and ensures all ground servicing is accomplished per SOPs. Conducts passenger briefings, delivering exceptional customer service and meeting special needs. Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) during all operations.
  • Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience: Provides outstanding service to owners and passengers, seeking opportunities to improve the EJM service experience. Collaborates with crew and internal partners, resolving conflict professionally.
  • Maintains Proficiency and Compliance: Maintains all required training and recency of experience. Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS). Ensures all crew members are qualified and comply with all policies and audits.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs):

  • Corporate/business aviation experience preferred.
  • FAA Type rating in the Falcon 2000LX.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions.
  • Minimum flight time requirements: 3500 hours total, 1500 hours Multi Engine Land (MEL), 2000 hours Pilot in Command, 500 hours PIC MEL, 300 hours Instrument, and 500 hours Jet.

Compensation and Benefits:

Executive Jet Management provides a competitive salary range of $160,000 to $425,000, commensurate with experience and aircraft type. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
