Purpose of Position
EJM is seeking a qualified and experienced pilot to join its team in Hayward, California (KHWD) for a Falcon 2000EX EASy aircraft. This low-velocity, two-pilot position requires Part 91 operations (no charter) and involves less than 150 flight hours per year. Primary flight destinations include the United States and Hawaii. Relocation to the Bay Area is mandatory, as this position is not home-based.
As the Pilot in Command (PIC), the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft operations. This includes adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensure crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Complete flight planning, performance, weight, and balance tasks for each assignment as required.
- Utilize Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with company personnel as needed. Act as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator according to company policy.
- Complete all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including reviewing maintenance status to ensure the aircraft is mission capable. Record all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitor and ensure all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are completed according to SOPs.
- Conduct passenger briefings as per company policy and regulation. Provide exceptional customer service and accommodate any special passenger needs (e.g., physically challenged individuals).
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to effectively communicate with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provide high-quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Investigate and resolve service deviations regularly.
- Collaborate with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide consistent service experiences to owners and passengers. Resolve conflicts and challenges professionally and effectively.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Comply with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and report safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Certifications and Licenses
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation
- FAA Type rating in DA2000 EZ
- Ability to relocate and reside in the Bay Area (position is not home-based)
- Ability to perform the essential job functions associated with the position
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Base Salary Range
$220,000 - $240,000
