Flight Attendant

National Airlines, a global carrier based in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Flight Attendant to join its Inflight Department. National Airlines operates passenger charter services and customized military and commercial air cargo transport worldwide, specializing in oversized, time-sensitive, and special handling requirements. The airline utilizes a fleet of 757-200, 747-400, and A-330 aircraft. This position reports to the Director of Inflight & Crew Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) according to the SMS Manual.
  • Maintain all company-issued manuals in their most current form.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of flight operations, including cabin safety, cabin service, aircraft/passenger security protocols, passenger manifests (including special needs passengers), and other pertinent information provided by the Pilot-in-Command, Second-in-Command, and Operations Control.
  • Enforce safety and security protocols in strict compliance with company procedures and all Federal Aviation regulations, ensuring the well-being of passengers.
  • Cultivate a strong service culture that prioritizes continuous improvement, effective communication, and strict adherence to the highest safety and service standards as outlined in all National Airlines approved manuals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to contract stipulations and destination country regulations for Flight Attendants on specified routes.
  • Possession of a valid U.S. passport with more than 12 months of validity remaining is mandatory.
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational qualification is required.
  • Must demonstrate fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Successful completion of a 10-year background check, including an FAA-mandated fingerprint-based criminal history records check, is required.
  • Must pass an FAA-mandated pre-employment drug test and subsequent tests as required under the National Airlines drug and alcohol testing policy for employees in safety-sensitive positions.
  • Willingness to comply with pre-employment checks mandated by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
  • Must attend and successfully complete the 6-week National Airlines Flight Attendant training program without interruptions.
  • Must obtain a Flight Attendant Certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.
  • Must be based in Orlando, FL (MCO) and adhere to National Airlines' Reserve and Scheduling policies.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and holidays, and be away from base for up to 18 days per month.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • Must comply with all applicable authorities and laws governing operations conducted over the high seas or in foreign countries.
  • Must obtain required vaccinations and inoculations to meet health requirements for served destinations.
  • Comfortable using basic functions of electronic devices.
  • Must interact with passengers and colleagues professionally.
  • One (1) year of direct customer service experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be at least 5'2" in height to reach overhead emergency equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds from floor to overhead bin, push/pull service carts weighing up to 250 pounds, and open/close aircraft doors and emergency exits without assistance.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and stretch repeatedly.
  • Must be able to lift carry-on luggage into overhead compartments.
  • Must be able and willing to serve peanuts, or meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
  • Must be able to work with animals and around allergens, including latex.
  • Must be able to carry personal luggage using air stairs to board the aircraft.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to sit in an aircraft jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
