Position Summary
MAG Aerospace seeks experienced ISR pilots who embody the highest standards of aviation skill, safety, professionalism, and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, effective, and efficient flight operations, including identifying and addressing aircraft maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all applicable industry and FAA standards regarding safety of flight documentation.
- Conduct pre-flight planning and aircraft pre-flight checks.
- Coordinate with Airborne Sensor Operators (ASO) and Mission Commanders for sensor system operations and mission execution.
- Monitor airspace, weather, radio communications, mission flight boundaries, other air traffic, and aircraft systems.
- Coordinate flights with Fixed Base Operators, military range control, Air Traffic Control (ATC) facilities (military and civilian), Primary Mission Equipment (PME) Operators, Mission Commanders, and Mission Coordination Services.
- Operate modified Contractor Owned Contractor Operated turbo-prop aircraft in accordance with commercial and Host Nation regulations, as well as program policies and procedures.
- Fly day and night, under VMC/IMC conditions, maintaining night currency and instrument proficiency.
- Serve as an Aviation Safety Pilot when directed.
- Operate from remote, austere, and primitive locations, potentially with unimproved runways.
- Prioritize crew member safety and customer relations.
Requirements
Required Skills
- Qualified in aircraft mission, type, design, and series, if applicable.
- Minimum 1000 hours of documented Pilot-in-Command time.
- Minimum 300 hours of Pilot-in-Command time in multi-engine turbo-prop aircraft.
- Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
- Current FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transportation Pilot license.
- Unrestricted or SIC Required BE-300 type rating.
Preferred Skills
- Former US military or government law enforcement pilot.
- US military trained Fixed Wing Instructor Pilot, Maintenance Pilot, or Instrument Examiner.
- Prior overseas rotation experience, particularly in USCENTCOM/USAFRICOM area of operations.
- Radio Telephone Operators Permit.
- Experience supporting USSOCOM in global operations.
Preferred Education / Certification / Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.
Location
- Multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Potentially austere and primitive location(s).
Security Clearance
- Active Secret security clearance, TS preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Candidates hired for this position will undergo a post-offer, pre-hire, pre-deployment medical assessment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess a valid passport with at least six months remaining prior to expiration.
