A significant opportunity exists for a dedicated Flight Instructor to join a reputable aviation organization on a permanent or freelance basis. This pivotal role is instrumental in shaping the future of aviation professionals by delivering comprehensive flight and ground school instruction to students progressing through various training phases. The successful candidate will provide exemplary instruction utilizing company aircraft, including the C152, C172, and PA-28, ensuring students acquire the requisite knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to attain their pilot licenses and ratings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver flight training for UK PPL(A), IMC/Instrument Rating (IR)(R), and Night Rating qualifications on company C152, C172, and P28A aircraft, adhering strictly to the Tatenhill Aviation Flying Order Book.
- Guide and mentor students through essential maneuvers, skills development, and competencies required for achieving relevant aviation ratings.
- Conduct engaging ground school sessions, covering theoretical knowledge crucial for student success in written examinations and practical flight training.
- Monitor, assess, and meticulously record student progress, ensuring the accurate maintenance of all training documentation.
- Uphold the highest standards of flight safety and regulatory compliance by operating aircraft in strict accordance with the Flying Order Book and all pertinent aviation legislation.
- Champion and foster a robust safety culture among students, colleagues, and all other personnel operating at Tatenhill Airfield.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Possession of a valid FI(A) or CRI(A) rating.
- A valid CPL(A), or a PPL(A) with a minimum of 200 hours total flight time, including at least 150 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- A valid SEP (Land) rating.
- A current and appropriate class medical certificate.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and exceptional instructional capabilities.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, under the direction of the Chief Flying Instructor (CFI).
- Comprehensive understanding of aviation regulations and operational procedures.
- Capacity to maintain composure and professionalism in demanding situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating clear and effective student interaction.
- Proficiency in modern flight planning and navigational techniques.
