**Description**

Leidos is seeking an experienced **Senior Instructor** to join an interdisciplinary team providing training and training support products to our Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) customer. As a Senior Instructor in this role, you will be working closely with the client, subject matter experts (SMEs), technical writers, and instructional designers to organize, instruct, and deliver quality instructor led training. To ensure success, you should have a background in adult learning theory, virtual education, and excellent communication skills. You will need to be a self-starter, be highly organized, and able to quickly move from one project to another as priorities shift.

**Primary Responsibilities**

+ Delivering instructor led training to include system and tool trainings and policy and procedure trainings for the FAA customer.

+ Create customized training plans that outline training goals, learning objectives, targeted audience, and training timeline based on client needs.

+ Meeting with project stakeholders to determine scope and expectations.

+ Support content development with instructional designers and technical writers.

+ Support in the development of training product templates that align with corporate and client requirements and that improve training delivery.

+ Reviewing final course materials and suggesting improvements when necessary.

+ Developing facilitator and/or participant guides to support live virtual training sessions.

+ Developing one page job aids or handouts to support live virtual training sessions.

+ Support of technical publications, when necessary, to include Desk Guides and User Manuals.

+ Coordinating with FAA stakeholders, Learning Management System operators, outside training teams, and colleagues, as necessary.

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s degree, with emphasis in teaching and learning with 12+ years of training experience.

+ Ability to instruct and deliver complex training subjects to multiple different learning audiences.

+ Ability to engage learners in a virtual learning platform (ex. MS Teams, Zoom).

+ Ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders on long-term projects.

+ Demonstrated ability to ensure all training support products align with Section 508 accessibility standards.

+ Ability to write and produce technical publications, as needed.

+ Ability to create and support content development.

+ Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, to include PowerPoint, Word, MS Teams, Outlook (Office 365), and OneNote.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master’s Degree, with emphasis in teaching and learning.

+ Experience with FAA Real Property and/or Real Estate.

+ Experience with recording training videos, webinars, and audio files.

+ Experience using SharePoint sites and/or OneDrive.

**Clearance:**

While a clearance is not required to be considered for the position, the ability to obtain a clearance (i.e., Public Trust) is required if hired.

**Pay Range:**

Pay Range $98,150.00 – $177,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
