Flightcrew Training Planner

Reports To: Manager of Aircrew Records

The Flightcrew Training Planner is responsible for scheduling instructors and crewmembers for all categories of required training. This role provides additional staff assistance to the Aircrew Records Manager as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plans and implements monthly training schedules.
• Requests booking of hotel and/or travel for crewmembers scheduled for training events.
• Assists in assuring that all instructors and crewmembers are notified of their scheduled ground and flight training events.
• Coordinates with the Aircrew Records Manager, Chief Pilot, and/or Director of Flight Standards/Director of Flight Crew Training to plan and implement instructor and crewmember training schedules.
• Works with colleagues in the Training Department on assigned tasks, such as updating qualifications in electronic systems, processing training forms, and conducting records audits.

Education and Experience

• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be highly detail-oriented and accurate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
• Previous aviation, training, scheduling, or other related experience is preferred.

Language Skills

• Ability to read, write, and understand spoken and written English.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to provide verbal and written direction to assigned staff.

Qualifications

• Must reside in the surrounding area of Ypsilanti, Michigan.
• Expected to work a standard Monday through Friday schedule.
• May be required to work some nights and weekends depending on company needs.
