Role and Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Cabin Crew member is to ensure the safety and security of all passengers throughout their journey. In addition to upholding the highest safety standards, the Cabin Crew is entrusted with providing an exceptional and memorable customer service experience, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere onboard Jettime flights.
Employment Details
This is a 7-month full-time temporary employment opportunity, concluding on October 31, 2026, with the potential for conversion to a permanent full-time role. The position is based at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (HEL) and employment is directly with Jettime Oy.
Working hours are managed through a rotating schedule, communicated at least 14 days in advance. The role encompasses all hours and days of the week, including nights and holidays, demanding a high degree of flexibility and adaptability. This role deviates significantly from a standard 9-to-5 job, often requiring several consecutive nights away from the home base at various destinations or other Nordic bases. Previous Cabin Crew experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Essential Requirements
In addition to the above attributes, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum age of 20 years.
- Fluency in Finnish and English; good proficiency in Swedish is preferred.
- A high school diploma or a minimum of 2 years of work experience, preferably in the service or healthcare sector (e.g., travel guide, receptionist, shop assistant, nurse, social worker, or similar).
- Good physical and stable mental health, essential for completing Cabin Crew training and fulfilling job duties.
- Ability to obtain an approved aeromedical examination and pass a clear drug and alcohol test prior to training commencement.
- Height between 160 cm and 195 cm.
- A valid EU passport with a minimum of 6 months validity from the training course start date.
- Ability to swim a minimum of 200 meters unaided.
- During standby duties, the ability to reach the departure gate at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (HEL) within 90 minutes.
- Eligibility for security clearance and a clean criminal record. Applicants must provide documentation detailing their whereabouts and activities for the past 5 years, including previous employment and educational qualifications.
- Willingness and ability to adhere to Jettime's uniform regulations and policies. Visible tattoos require prior approval before employment.
Training and Onboarding
Jettime provides a comprehensive 4-week training program at its HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark. For applicants joining the HEL base, Jettime covers accommodation during the course, along with one round-trip ticket to Copenhagen. Lunch is also provided during training.
The training curriculum includes rigorous assessments and covers essential areas such as first aid, safety procedures, flight theory, communication, cooperation, sales, and service. Successful completion of the training and an approved background check are prerequisites for employment. The training course is provided free of charge, and upon successful completion, trainees will receive a completion bonus equivalent to one month's base salary.
Salary and Conditions
Compensation includes a fixed base salary, per diem allowances, and additional pay for holiday, Sunday, and nighttime work. Jettime Oy employees also benefit from an occupational healthcare package. Terms and conditions are governed by the Jettime Oy Cabin Crew collective agreement.
