About the Role
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, an award-winning airline and holiday provider, is actively recruiting exceptional individuals to join its esteemed team. The organisation is seeking a dedicated Technical Knowledge Instructor – Ground (TKI) to contribute to its state-of-the-art Jet2.com Training Centres.
This critical role plays a pivotal part in the continuous development and training of the expanding Jet2.com Pilot community. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive ground school and simulator training, ensuring adherence to the highest industry standards and contributing to the airline's commitment to an exceptional customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality ground school training to Jet2 Pilots across classroom, virtual classroom, and fixed-base flight simulator or training device environments.
- Provide fixed-base simulator and classroom instruction integral to the Jet2.com initial and recurrent pilot training programmes.
- Develop and meticulously review ground school training materials utilizing software such as MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Forms, and Storyline 360.
- Undertake additional training-related activities as directed by the Flight Training Department, including classroom technical instruction and courseware development.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess significant experience within the aviation industry, gained from either military or civilian environments, in roles such as a pilot, navigator, flight engineer, or maintenance engineer.
- Demonstrate a depth of experience in instructional techniques within classroom or fixed-base simulator settings.
- Exhibit proficiency in the creation and maintenance of diverse training materials, including Computer-Based Training (CBT), slide presentations, and instructor guides.
- Previous instructional experience with Airbus operations and/or training is highly valued; however, candidates with instructional experience on other aircraft types are also encouraged to apply.
- Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective training delivery in various settings and for accurate student progress recording.
- Demonstrate strong administrative skills, including the ability to accurately record student training progression.
- Experience in creating high-quality training material using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Storyline 360, or similar applications is required.
- Exhibit excellent time management skills to ensure training events are completed within strict timescales, with a proven ability to manage taskings from Technical Training Managers or Flight Crew Training Managers.
- Display a proactive approach in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adaptable to roster changes that may be necessary to meet business demands.
- Possess the ability to monitor student progress, identify individuals falling below required standards, and provide necessary remedial training.
