Job Overview: Synthetic Flight Instructor/Examiner
CAE, a global leader in Civil Aviation training, is expanding its Business Aviation Training Division. The company is seeking dedicated professional pilots to join the Burgess Hill (West Sussex) Training Centre as full-time Synthetic Flight Instructors/Examiners. This role offers the opportunity to transition into a specialized educator position, utilizing state-of-the-art synthetic training equipment to prepare pilots for critical operations.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality synthetic flight instruction across various platforms, including Falcon, Gulfstream, Citation, and Challenger.

Serve as a subject matter expert, leading clients through simulator-based and classroom-based training.

Maintain accurate and concise trainee records in accordance with CAE policies and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with client partners to support bespoke training requirements.

Commit to an onsite roster pattern at the Burgess Hill Training Centre (5 days per week).
Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a UK or EASA licence.

TRI / TRE certification for Citation II and XLS.

Minimum of 1,500 hours of total multi-pilot time.

High-level English language proficiency in reading, speaking, and communication.

Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based applications.

Strong attention to detail regarding training delivery and documentation.

Ability to adapt instruction for diverse trainee backgrounds and skill levels.

Residency within a commutable distance of Burgess Hill (ideally within 1 hour / 30 miles) or willingness to make local arrangements.

Right to live and work in the UK is desirable.

Willingness to enter into a training bond (value subject to experience and ratings).
Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience creating productive, welcoming learning environments for business aviation clients.

Demonstrated success in mentoring or developing industry colleagues.

Prior exposure to synthetic or simulator-based instruction.
