Pilot in Command – Lear 60

Full-Time – Miami, FL (Aircraft based at PBI)

Jet Linx, a premier private aviation company, is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a full-time position operating a Lear 60 aircraft. This pivotal role involves conducting both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations, ensuring the utmost safety and efficiency across all missions. The successful candidate will ideally reside, or be prepared to relocate, within a two-hour call-out radius of the aircraft's base near Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) in Miami, FL.

Position Summary

The Pilot in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and holds the primary responsibility for preparing and executing safe, efficient flight operations in strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Jet Linx's rigorous company procedures. This role demands exceptional airmanship, strong leadership, and an unwavering commitment to operational excellence.

Minimum Requirements

Prospective candidates must meet the following flight experience requirements:

  • Total Time: 3,500 hours
  • Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 2,000 hours
  • Total Time in Type (Lear 60): 250 hours
  • Total PIC Time in Type (Lear 60): 250 hours
  • Total Multi-Engine Time: 1,500 hours
  • Total Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
  • Total Turbine Time: 500 hours
  • Total Instrument Time: 300 hours

Essential Functions

The core responsibilities of the Pilot in Command include:

  • Meticulously managing duty, flight, and rest times to ensure full compliance with both company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Maintaining continuous and clear communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight reports.
  • Proficiently managing Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications, ensuring operational readiness and data integrity.
  • Guaranteeing the currency of all necessary navigation charts, publications, and company operational manuals.
  • Maintaining a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Consistently demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making skills under all operational conditions.
  • Upholding and exemplifying Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions and conduct.

Other Requirements

Further qualifications and requirements for this position include:

  • Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the ability to obtain one.
  • A current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • An FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. and possession of a current passport.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and willingness to submit to random drug/alcohol testing as required.
  • Unrestricted ability to travel internationally, including to Canada and Caribbean countries.
  • Ability to successfully complete an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review with a System Chief Pilot.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational demands dictate.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience is required.
  • Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in type within the last 24 months is highly preferred.
  • The majority of work will be completed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.

Compensation and Benefits

Jet Linx offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package designed to attract top aviation talent. The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary provided is dependent upon geographic location, aircraft size (crew positions), and the candidate’s relevant education, training, and experience.
