Position Overview
Jet Linx Aviation is actively recruiting qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) candidates for its Midsize jet aircraft fleet, supporting both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. This critical role requires the successful candidate to reside within a two-hour call-out radius of their designated home base or be willing to relocate accordingly.
Role Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Pilot in Command is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company aircraft. This includes meticulous preparation and adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures.
Minimum Flight Hour Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 2,000 hours
- Total Time in Aircraft Type (Citation XLS Gen 2): 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Aircraft Type (Citation XLS Gen 2): 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 1,500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Flight Time: 500 hours
- Total Instrument Flight Time: 300 hours
Essential Functions
- Proactively manage duty, flight, and rest periods to comply with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Maintain consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position updates, and pre- and post-flight reporting.
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and associated software applications.
- Verify the currency of all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Maintain a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Exhibit strong, proactive decision-making capabilities in all flight operations.
- Uphold and embody Jet Linx Aviation's core values in all professional interactions.
Additional Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of initial or recurrent Part 142 training for the aircraft type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Possession of a valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid U.S. Passport.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the ability to obtain an ATP.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Telephone Operator Permit.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Unrestricted authorization to travel to Canada and Caribbean nations.
- Ability to provide consent for and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience is required.
- The role involves significant time working in and around aircraft and airport terminals.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx Aviation offers a highly competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package. The starting annual base salary for this position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, aircraft size (crew positions), relevant education, and professional experience.
