Pilot in Command – Citation Sovereign
Location: Full-Time Miami, FL
Jet Linx is actively recruiting experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) candidates for its Super Midsize jet aircraft operations. This role supports both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. Prospective candidates are expected to reside within a two-hour call-out radius of their designated home base or be willing to relocate.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Pilot in Command is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. This includes comprehensive flight planning, preparation, and execution in strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures.
Minimum Pilot Flight Time Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 2,000 hours
- Total PIC in Type (Citation Sovereign): 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 1,000 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 1,000 hours
- Total Turbine PIC Time: 1,000 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
- Total Jet Time: 1,500 hours
- Total Jet PIC Time: 500 hours
Essential Functions of the Role
- Meticulously manage duty, flight, and rest periods to comply with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Maintain consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and thorough pre- and post-flight reporting.
- Oversee and maintain the currency and functionality of electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and associated software applications.
- Ensure all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are up-to-date and readily accessible.
- Possess and maintain a current First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Exhibit strong, proactive decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrate adherence to Jet Linx's core values in all professional interactions.
Additional Requirements
- Preference given to candidates with initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid current passport.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the ability to obtain one.
- Current First-Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug and alcohol testing requirements.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Authorization to release and pass a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- The majority of the role's duties are performed in and around aircraft and airport terminal environments.
- Physical capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx provides a competitive compensation and benefits package for its team members. The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $160,000 to $245,000. The final base salary offered will be determined by factors including geographic location, aircraft size, relevant educational background, training certifications, and overall professional experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage.
