Jet Linx invites highly qualified aviation professionals to apply for the position of Pilot in Command aboard the Super Midsize Cessna Citation Sovereign (CE-680). This critical role supports robust Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations.
The successful candidate will be a pivotal leader, reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot. Responsibilities include ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of company aircraft, strictly adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company standards. Applicants must currently reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out radius of the Miami, FL base.
Position Summary
The Pilot in Command assumes ultimate authority and responsibility for all aspects of flight execution and crew resource management. The PIC ensures that all flights are conducted safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with the highest operational standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is responsible for comprehensive flight management and compliance, including:
- Manages flight, duty, and rest times meticulously, adhering to both regulatory (CFR) requirements and company policies.
- Maintains consistent, professional communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reporting, and accurate pre- and post-flight documentation.
- Ensures the currency and integrity of all Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware, applications, navigational charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Exhibits superior, proactive decision-making skills, maintaining the highest standard of safety and operational excellence.
- Upholds and exemplifies the core values of Jet Linx in all professional interactions.
- Maintains a current First Class FAA Medical Certificate.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements
Candidates must meet or exceed the following minimum hour requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
- Total PIC in Type (CE-680 or similar): 250 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 1,000 hours
- Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 1,000 hours
- Total Turbine PIC Time: 1,000 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
- Total Jet Time: 1,500 hours
- Total Jet PIC Time: 500 hours
Additional Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate possesses the following attributes and capabilities:
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the ability to obtain the rating.
- Current First Class Medical Certificate.
- Must possess a current passport and the unrestricted ability to travel internationally, including to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Holds a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Restricted Radio License.
- Preference given to candidates with initial or recurrent 142 training in type completed within the last 24 months.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and submit to random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Ability to pass an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated work experience is required.
- Must possess the ability to obtain a valid U.S. driver's license and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to frequently move and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds, typical of baggage and aircraft operations.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx provides a highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package reflective of the critical nature and demands of this role.
- The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $245,000, commensurate with the candidate’s relevant education, training, experience, geographic location, and crew position.
