The Opportunity: Pilot in Command, Lear 60
Jet Linx is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command candidates for its Midsize jet aircraft fleet, specifically the Lear 60. This critical role involves conducting safe and efficient flight operations under both Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 91 and Part 135 guidelines. The successful candidate must either currently reside within, or be willing to relocate to, an area ensuring compliance with the stringent 2-hour call-out time requirement from the designated home base (PBI).
Position Summary
The Pilot in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. The PIC is fully responsible for preparing and executing the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, strictly adhering to all Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs) and established company procedures. This leadership position demands exceptional decision-making capabilities and an unwavering commitment to safety.
Minimum Professional Requirements
Candidates must possess the following flight hour experience to be considered for this prestigious aviation career opportunity:
- Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 2,000 hours
- Total Time in Type (Lear 60): 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type (Lear 60): 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 1,500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 500 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command will be required to execute the following core duties:
- Rigorously manage duty, flight, and rest times to meet or exceed company policy and CFR requirements.
- Maintain continuous communication with company operations regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight reporting.
- Maintain and proficiently manage all electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and associated applications.
- Ensure all necessary navigation charts, publications, and company operational manuals are current and readily accessible.
- Maintain a current and valid First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrate strong, proactive, and effective decision-making skills throughout all phases of flight and ground operations.
- Uphold and demonstrate Jet Linx’s core values and professional standards in all interactions with clients, crew, and staff.
Additional Requirements and Qualifications
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, or the ability to swiftly obtain an ATP.
- A current, valid First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant work experience is required.
- The ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must hold a current, valid passport with unrestricted ability to travel internationally, specifically to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- The ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing as mandated.
- Successful candidate must release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review conducted by the System Chief Pilot.
- Willingness and ability to work a dynamic schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to frequently move up to 50 pounds, with the majority of work performed in and around aircraft and air terminal environments.
- Preferred: Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months.
Compensation and Benefits Package

The starting base annual salary for the Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The final base salary offered is commensurate with the candidate’s geographical location, specific aircraft size (crew positions), relevant education, training, and experience.
