Jet Linx invites applications for highly qualified Captains/Pilots in Command (PIC) specializing in midsize jet operations, specifically the Cessna Citation XLS/XLS+. This pivotal, full-time Atlanta-based position demands aviation excellence in both demanding Part 91 and Part 135 flight environments. Successful candidates must currently reside within, or be willing to relocate to, an area allowing for a maximum 2-hour call-out time from the designated home base.
Position Overview
The Pilot in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. The PIC is fundamentally responsible for preparing and executing the safe, regulatory-compliant, and efficient operation of company aircraft. This role requires strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company operational procedures.
Minimum Required Flight Experience
Candidates must demonstrate significant and verifiable flight hours, including specific experience in turbine and multi-engine aircraft:
- Total Time: 3,500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 1,500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 500 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
- Total Time in Type (Citation XLS/XLS+): 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type (Citation XLS/XLS+): 250 hours
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The PIC ensures the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency by performing the following core duties:
- Managing duty, flight, and rest times meticulously to comply with both company policy and Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintaining consistent communication with company dispatch and flight operations for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and required pre- and post-flight documentation.
- Managing and maintaining the currency of Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and associated applications.
- Ensuring all necessary navigation charts, publications, and company operational manuals are current and readily accessible.
- Maintaining a current First Class Medical Certificate.
- Exhibiting strong, proactive, and timely decision-making skills throughout all phases of flight and ground operations.
- Consistently demonstrating Jet Linx's core values in all professional interactions.
Certifications and Operational Requirements
The successful candidate must meet stringent logistical, legal, and certification requirements:
- Must possess, or have the ability to immediately obtain, an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Must hold a current First Class Medical certificate.
- Requires a current FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Must possess a valid, current passport for international travel.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally, specifically to Canadian and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screening and consent to random drug and alcohol testing when required.
- Ability to pass a thorough review of the FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Initial or Recurrent FAR Part 142 training in the Citation XLS/XLS+ type within the last 24 months is highly preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent extensive professional work experience is required.
- Candidates must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the flight schedule.
- The role frequently requires the ability to move up to 50 pounds, with the majority of work conducted in and around aircraft and airport terminals.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the US and the ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license are mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits Package

The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000, with the final offer dependent upon geographic location, aircraft size, relevant education, training, and total experience.
